BRA TALK: Comfort and Confidence | Avon Fashions NEW Body Illusion 2019 Review

Okay, these new products shook me. I mean, are they for REAL??!

Well for someone who is trying to perform several roles in her late twenties; from being a blogger and content creative, to an online girl boss with a 9-5 job in a casino, it is surely one hell of a ride every single day---and I should always keep up! Like nothing can stop me from accomplishing my duties, as well as pursuing my passion, not unless something keeps on bothering me. And most of the time, *whispers* "It's what I wear inside"

Alright, I'm talking about undergarments here, ladies! Yup, our ever-dependable bras and panties of course! And who among you will agree with me that these two can definitely make or break our day too? Come on, no matter how beautiful your blouse or dress is, if your bra gives you a very uneasy feeling, you can't simply be confident while wearing it. I know the feeling, because I often experience the "struggle".

#StruggleIsRealwithmyUndies

But who would have thought that such day would come, and I'll be so lucky enough to try these new products from AVON Philippines! Do you think I already found my soul mates?

AVON Fashions recently launched their ALL NEW BRAS and PANTIES under their Body Illusion innerwear line, which promise to give Filipina women seamless comfort and flexibility. The Body Illusion underwear, made with AVON's very own Invisilite material,  comes in two pairs: CHARLENE (underwire seamless bra and laser-cut panty) and SONIA (non-wire seamless pull-on bra and laser-cut panty). You can watch the short video below:

Though what's important here is to know if my own pair of Body Illusion underwear delivered what was expected.

Oh my, I still want to delay this, but...YES, THEY DID!

Now I'll try to give you a detailed review of CHARLENE. So what I got was a 34B underwire bra and a medium size hipster panty, both in Tuscany color. For the first impression (when I was not yet wearing them), I must say that:

1. Both appeared to be ordinary for me, in terms of design / style, and nothing really special. But I do appreciate the simplicity and functionality of the overall appearance. The thickness of the cups' foam is just right, and the width of the straps are just perfect for sleeveless tops. And for the panty, I pretty much like the cut.

2. As I hold them, I was very impressed with the actual weight and 'feel' of both innerwear. They are super light (as in crazy light, and I can't believe it's actually possible for a bra with underwire), and feels very, very smooth on the skin (like where in the world did they got those kind of materials?)

3. Looking closely, I can say that both products are of high-quality. There are no seams on the fabric, yet the parts where the edges meet were sealed nicely. Plus, I was able to stretch both garments really hard, but they still manage to go back to their original form.

Here's a closer look:

Charlene Seamless Hipster Panty (Medium)

Can stretch up to twice it's original size

Laser-cut edges

Seamless, thus won't show through tight clothing

Charlene Seamless Underwire Bra (34B)

Eyeglass silhouette with ultra-soft foam cups

Underwires are not stiff nor heavy

Laser-cut edges

Foams are not too thick

Straps are soft and not too wide

The bra costs 899PHP, while the panty is sold at 299PHP. Quite pricey for me, but with the above impressions, I must say that I'm already half convinced to purchase another set.

Of course, I also tried wearing both innerwear. Worn the Charlene bra and panty for three (3) alternate days, now here are my full thoughts about them:

1. They are my perfect fit. It has been a decade of struggle for me to find a comfortable cut for my undies, but I always end up with the "almost perfect" (either the bra cups are too big, or the straps are a few centimeters short). Now, I just look into the mirror with full pleasure. I just feel good in them.

2. They are the most comfortable pair. When I slip on my corporate uniform on the first day, it was an odd yet great feeling to NOT really notice my undies! I can't see traces of them, and can't actually feel them underneath! No more pulling up and down, keeping my bra and panty in place---I was able to move all day in peace.

3. They never lose their form and are easy to maintain. I washed them for three times, and noticed that they are easy to clean and dries up pretty fast. Both retained their shapes perfectly even after washing.

The perfect partner of a #girlboss

When it feels so light as air...

Indeed, I was even more confident to move around, accomplish tasks and go beyond my goals set for each day. All thanks to my new partners-in-crime! I will definitely switch to these bras and panties that can support my daily activities and will never get in the way. By the way, Body Illusion bras and panties are available in wide range of sizes, so you don't have to own the society's standard body size just to enjoy comfort.

#ForAllBodyShapesandSizes

Truly, every good thing starts from the inside. And with a pair of comfortable underwear, you can do anything and achieve everything as a WOMAN. Now that is FREEDOM.

Cheers to the unstoppable women!

Block and White "Sakura Park" Launch

The first-ever Sakuha Park was officially launched last October 16, 2018 at Market! Market! Shopping Mall in Taguig. It was made possible by Block and White, in line with the release of its newest variant, the Sakura White lotion. Though the park was only available to the general public for two days (October 16-17), everyone still enjoyed taking photos under the Sakura trees.

At 12 noon, the crowd already gathered near the entrance of the park waiting for the symbolic ribbon cutting. There was a loud cheer when celebrity endorser and YouTube vlogger, Alex Gonzaga appeared from the back, then the Block and White Sakura White TVC song played! (and we danced)

Aside from Alex, YouTuber Pham Swing also graced the event, along with other bloggers and influencers. It was my first time to meet her, and we even managed to take a selfie! (posted it on my Instagram stories)

The park is all pink and "girly" as expected. Good thing I wore light and comfy clothes, since it was located in an open space. Our skins' tolerance to the sun's heat were really put into a test! Thank God Block and White Sakura White lotion already has sunscreen to compliment its whitening properties (whew!)

Aside from the Sakura trees, there were also three (3) photo stations from where you can take some quirky shots. Visitors were encouraged to take and post both their "expectation and reality" photos on Instagram and Facebook. Well I had a hard time with the first station, which is the "Flatlay", but my friend Danica slayed it with no sweat!

STATION 1

STATION 2

STATION 3

I obviously enjoyed the second and third stations (haha!). These photos are the proofs!

And yes, I totally enjoyed my Sakuha Park experience! It was a hot, yet fun day indeed! Thanks to Block and White, and Sir Angelo for inviting me.

And of course, I was so happy to finally meet and greet Alex Gonzaga! She's such a fine soul; full of positivity and good vibes! She even inspired me more to launch my own YouTube channel, yay! (very soon guys, VERY SOON). But hey, do you think we could pass as 'sisters'? :)

Yasss! Hope you enjoyed this post, especially the pictures! Guess it will be awesome if there shall be a real Sakura Park in the Philippines...a long shot, but nothing is impossible, right? I would love to hear your thoughts, so please comment down below :) Oh, have you tried any Block and White lotion? Are you a fan of it? Let's talk about the Sakura White lotion soon!

...it just blooms.

"The Dream Party" | Skinpotions Dream Cream Launch with Anne Clutz, Purpleheiress and Nina Rayos

Skinpotions, a local beauty brand, hosted a "Dream Party" last month, wherein they launched their newest and most innovative product to date: The Dream Cream.

The event was graced by beauty bloggers, influencers, and of course Skinpotions' very own Girl Gang. It was a night filled with nice food, lovely girls, inspiring talks and great product!

So how come I ended up partying with these ladies?

Okay, here's the back story: The official invite was sent to me thru Viber, two weeks before the party. Of course I was so excited to attend and meet my fave beauty vloggers and the entire SP fam! However, I knew that i'll be spending for the outfit, shoes and fare---that's when I had second thoughts.

Still, and to my surprise, I was present at The Main Street on the night of August 31st, yay!

I arrived late (like 30 minutes late) on the venue due to heavy traffic (I hate going out on Fridays, really). Luckily I didn't missed anything, aside from the opening prayer and being able to choose a seat.

The place is not too big, but the setup was nice and dreamy. I received a welcome gift at the entrance: a PR box containing the dream cream (all six shades), plus a note, an eye mask and stickers.

I was really hungry since I traveled for three hours just to get there, so I immediately approached the buffet table and served myself with everything, haha! I liked the food, though I was too shy for second servings *cries*, and the fact that they allowed us to eat first before anything else!

Halfway thru our dinner, we also listened to a talk by Ms. Owie Dela Cruz about self-love and pursuing your passion. She shared with us her dark past which made her a better person at present---it was really inspiring! I guess I need more of this, or maybe I can do talks too, what do you think? (mmm..)

And suddenly...there was Mama Anne Clutz! (Oh my heart, be still, please!)

Some of the well-known local YouTubers were seated together, but I was kinda shy to approach them, though they seem to be friendly and nice... *smiles*

And finally the much-awaited launch of the dream cream! *confetti*

Skinpotions' COO Aileen Sison took us back to where it all started. The humble beginnings and life-changing struggles made Skinpotions one of the best beauty local brands in the market right now.

Together with her sister, CEO Jonah Sison (and the rest of the SP family), another awesome concoction was created! I am indeed so proud to have witnessed the becoming of a dream...

Now it's time for fun activities and FREEBIES!

We were asked to complete the individual challenges on each station, and this was the time when I get to mingle with the other girls. It was super fun, especially because I received a lot of free products from Skinpotions! (most of which I haven't tried before)

Now meet the Girl Gang! (I love these girls so much!)

Me with my favorite beauty vloggers! (Seeing them in person filled my heart with so much happiness and inspiration...such lovely women)

Isha Borromeo (Purpleheiress)

Anne Clutz and MaeLayug

That's it! It was a simple event, yet what made it so special is the product itself. I can't wait for every Filipina to try it and own one (well all of the shades if possible!). Kudos to the people behind the success of the Dream Launch. All of you did a great job! Cheers!

Looking forward to more events with my Skinpotions Family! I will be prepared with my hairstyle next time, haha! (low bun is definitely my "default" hairstyle---so lazy) Anyway, if you have questions, you may comment down below, and I hope you enjoyed this one! You may also check this post: Skinpotions Dream Cream for the complete swatches + review.

Keep on dreaming, loves!
