Unboxing NEW Thai Beauty products from Wises Thailand | REVIEW

Another set of Thailand beauty products were sent to me last year for review. I am excited to try them, since I haven't heard of the brand before. Now I'm ready to share my thoughts, hoping that this would be one of the few detailed reviews of Wises Thailand

No photo description available.

To be honest, I can't give any background for this brand. I already tried searching on the web and Facebook. All that I know is that they were manufactured in Thailand, and are distributed here in the Philippines by Ms. Rina Bartolome. Okay, so let's go jump to my review then!

Wises Nano Collagen Sunscreen SPF 50 PA+++

THE PRODUCT: It is a 12g tinted sunscreen, which I find similar with Jellys Thailand Pureface sunscreen. However, this one is perfumed, and a bit thicker in consistency. It gives a light to medium coverage already, so you can definitely wear it alone as base. When spread evenly on the face, it gives a matte finish.

THE VERDICT: Well the product is okay for me, though I'm really not comfortable with its scent. I just love the fact that it can perform as your BB cream or foundation, which can save you a lot of time whenever you are doing your makeup. Moreover, its container is super fancy (which is common with Thailand products), but I think that's unnecessary.

Wise Diamond Snail Sleeping Mask

THE PRODUCT: It is a 7g sleeping mask, which contains snail slime and diamond extract. The cream is white in color, super slimy, and strongly perfumed. But when you spread it on your face, it doesn't feel tacky or sticky at all.

THE VERDICT: I tried using it once, and I noticed that my face was quite glowing the next morning. But then again, I'm not a fan of perfumed skincare products. Though I did appreciate that the packaging physically reflects the actual amount of the product.

Wise Placenta Boosting Serum

THE PRODUCT: It is a 12ml serum which contains pure placenta and more than 30 species of plankton. The liquid has a bluish color and a very faint fresh scent. When applied on the skin, I noticed that it's quite cool and was easily absorbed.

THE VERDICT: I like this one because it is instantly absorbed by the skin, no strong scent, and is not sticky. I'm surprised that it made by skin look hydrated and supple. Though I hope they will (the manufacturer) increase its net volume, so the product won't just last for a few weeks.

Wises Pink Gold Collagen Premium Mask

THE PRODUCT: It is a 15g pink-gold, peel-off mask, that has a strong alcohol + perfume scent. The mask is very sticky, but sets easily on the skin.

THE VERDICT: I love its effect on the skin in general. I noticed a clear and glowing skin right after my first use. However, the scent is a total no-no for me. Plus, it is quite difficult to apply on the skin (so be careful, especially on the hairy areas).

Wises DD Water Drop (Mini)

THE PRODUCT: It is a daily defense (or Dynamic Do All) cream, that contains sun protection and can instantly brighten or lighten your skin tone. It is also tinted, turns into semi-liquid when applied on the skin, and finally sets as a matte base.

THE VERDICT: It is lightly perfumed (and I can live with that), sets nicely on the skin, and gives that bright and healthy color (which I love). It can be a perfect base for makeup too, since it's moisturizing and has a coverage at the same time.

Wises Blue Diamond Multi-Cleansing Gel

THE PRODUCT: It is a 60ml cleansing gel, that is bluish in color and is more watery in consistency than gel-like. It smells like the boosting serum (fresh), and forms a nice lather when mixed with water (though not so foamy).

THE VERDICT: The product is okay, because it cleanse my skin pretty well (for the first use). I just don't like it being too "runny", that I had a hard time dispensing from the tube. But overall, I find it non-drying at all; my skin was supple after washing.

Wise Lucky Lips (in #06)

THE PRODUCT: It is a matte, waterproof and smudgeproof liquid lip color. The texture is creamy upon application, that turns into super matte finish. The product smells like dessert, with a little hint of chemical scent (which fades eventually)

THE VERDICT: If you are a fan of Maybelline Superstay Matte lippies, then this can be a good substitute. It is indeed smudge and waterproof, and can stay from day to night. The only downside is that it kinda look dry on the lips. Though the shade is lovely.

The BEST exfoliating product? Althea Milk Peel Cream Mask | REVIEW

So Althea Korea launched another skincare product last November 2018. They are slowly coming up with a complete skincare line, with products that can perform dual function (making our lives easier, right girls?). Now this time, it's an exfoliating mask.

This new product is a soft-peeling mask with the goodness of milk. It contains AHA and BHA extracts, which are proven to gently, yet effectively, exfoliate the skin. Well it seems to be really promising, so let's try it now and see for ourselves.

THE PRODUCT

The Milk Peek Cream Mask contains the following ingredients:

Water (Aqua), Kaolin, Glycerin, Disiloxane, Bentonite, Propanediol, Myristic Acid, Methyl Perfluoroisobutyl Ether, Stearicacid, Methyl Perfluorobutyl Ether, Potassium Hydroxide, 1,2-Hexanediol, Palmitic Acid , Ethylhexylglycerin, Milk Proteinextract, Disodium Edta, Gaultheria Procumbens (Wintergreen) Leaf Extract, Gluconolactone, Glycolic Acid, Titaniumdioxide (Ci 77891), Fragrance (Parfum), Coumarin*, Hexyl Cinnamal*, Citronellol*

The key ingredients are:

Milk protein extract
AHA & BHA
Kaolin

The container is made of plastic; it's a bottle with pump (to dispense the product) and has a tight cap. It is 50 ml in volume, smells like milk (though really faint) and perfumed powder, plus it's white in color.

When dispensed, it appears as a thick clay mask, that forms bubbles as you massage it on your skin. And later on, it will form a white layer that is a bit sticky and powdery. Okay, don't worry because it can be easily washed-off with water.

Now how to use the product?

1. Dampen your skin with water
2. Dispense a pump or two of the product
3. Apply an even layer on your face
4. Massage it on your face until a rich lather forms
5. Leave it on for a 30-60 seconds
(or until the bubbles completely disappear)
6. Rinse it off with clean, warm water

THE VERDICT

Can I just say "This product is perfect"? Oh my! It blew my mind---for real! It is soooo far, the BEST exfoliating product that I've ever tried. Why? I'll give you a handful of reasons:

  • First, it made me enjoy the entire "exfoliating" process; like a magic is happening on my face as the product transforms into different phases.
  • Second, it is so GENTLE on the skin, that I felt no pain, no sting, just an interesting sensation as the bubbles start to form. I was surprise that there was no redness, patching, or visible peeling after rinsing it off.
  • Third, it gave me the best exfoliating experience! I had a legit "clean" face after using it. Made my skin so soft to touch, healthy-looking and glowing. It didn't felt like my skin was stripped with moisture, because it look and feel so hydrated.
  • Fourth, I love the smell (Though it can be irritating to others. Maybe they can work on this area), the consistency, the packaging and the amazing result! A genius product indeed!

So obviously, I will totally recommend this to everyone! This is a MUST-TRY skincare product, especially if you want to get rid of dull and tired-looking skin. It will brighten up your world ladies, you have my word for that :)

Skinpotions Holiday Collection | Holidream and Sugar Flush

HOORAY! Skinpotions released the special edition of their most-raved lip tints! Of course they are only exclusive for the season, with shades specially formulated to suit your under-the-mistletoe and glow-like-fireworks holiday vibe!

Now here's a closer look on each collection:

The Holidream and Sugar Flush collection both comes in cute pink boxes (like the one similar to cigarette cases), with three shades of tints inside.

The texture, smell and consistency of the Holidream creams are just the same as with a regular Dream Cream. But the shades are more warmer and festive, and will actually look flattering even on different skin tones. My fave is "Yule".

YULE

HOLLIE

NOELLE

Now with the Sugar Flush collection, I noticed something different. The formula of the holiday tints are more moisturizing, while the stain stays longer as compared with the regular one. There was no favorite, because I love all the three shades!

Candy Cane

Gingerbread Cookies

Peppermint Frappe

Oh yes! It's not too late to grab these collections! What a perfect gift for your girlfriends and sistahs :) The Holidream collection is only 699PHP, while the Sugar Flush collection retails at 349PHP. Check out their website https://skinpotionsph.com/ for more details.

Ultra lightweight and hydrating sunscreen from Althea: "Petal Velvet Sunaway"

After the much-loved Real Fresh Skin Detoxers, Althea Korea quickly came up with another "essential" skincare product, which a lot have been requesting for since the release of their exclusives---a sunscreen!

Though there are a lot of sunscreen products from different Korean brands, the Petal Velvet Sunaway is definitely a cut above the rest. Want to know why? Well keep on reading :)

THE PRODUCT

Petal Velvet Sunaway has SPF 50+ and PA++++, that comes in a matte-finish, 50ml bottle.  The packaging is simple, yet hygienic and spill-proof. Ingredients list and instruction (on the box and bottle) are mostly written in Hangul, while the expiration date is stamped at the bottom of the container. More so, it is easy to dispense and control the amount of the product because the bottle's snout is really tiny. Just make sure to shake well before using.

The product contains the following main ingredients: Damask rose extracts, Hyaluronic acid, and Geranium oil (can heal acne). It incorporates a non-chemical UV filter, which makes it suitable even for sensitive skin. And as part of Althea's Petal Velvet line, it contains micro-powder particles. Plus, it is also cruelty-free.

The liquid has a smooth, thin consistency, making it a bit runny. It is translucent white in color, and smells like rose. When applied to the skin, the product is easily absorbed, leaving a soft, smooth and non-sticky feeling. Looking at the mirror, it's as if you did not applied anything on your face, unless you touch it.

THE VERDICT

I'm in love with Petal Velvet! It is indeed (allow me to exaggerate) the most lightweight, hydrating and good-smelling sunscreen that I've ever tried! I was a bit worried at first, since the liquid is too runny for me, but it did a great job on my skin. Here are some of my thoughts

  • The product is easy to apply, not heavy and sits on the skin pretty well. Though it doesn't improve the skin tone (since it's not a tinted sunscreen), you'll notice a better texture and a little bit of glow on your skin.
  • I tried wearing it as my makeup base (no primer), and I was so surprised because it managed to make my skin look fresh and hydrated, even after hours with no touch-ups. Yes! There was lesser oil build-up on my T-zone!
  • I'm hooked with the scent, really. Applying it on my skin has become a ritual that I've been looking forward too as I end my daily skincare routine. It's good to feel at ease with the product that you put on your face; knowing that it contains natural ingredients which won't take a cost on you in the future.
  • Lastly, I'm happy because it was priced just right. Everybody will get a chance to try the product and make it a staple in their beauty routine.

There you have it! I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I did. I highly recommend this product to everyone, especially if you are looking for a sunscreen that is lightweight and can effectively control sebum. You won't regret buying this for sure!

Check this link if you are interested to try the product: Petal Velvet Sunaway. But you must HURRY! All Althea's Exclusives comes with a FREE SHIPPING deal for limited time only, just use the code "PBSHIP" when you checkout. Also, if you purchase the sunscreen together with a Petal Velvet powder (which I also love), you'll get 10% off the petal duo! So I'll wait for you to try it, and make sure to share your thoughts with me in the comment section below :) Thank you!

Beauty from Nature: See Sea Dead Sea Minerals | Review

One of the amazing natural wonders of the world is the famous Dead Sea. It is a salt lake between Israel and Jordan, and is considered to be the lowest point on earth. The waters of the Dead Sea are extremely saline, containing 32% salt (as compared with the 3% salt content of ordinary sea water), and relatively high concentrations of minerals.

These minerals are said to be present in the SeeSea Dead Sea Minerals products that we shall be reviewing on this post. If you want to learn more, just keep on reading :)

THE BRAND

SeeSea Dead Sea Minerals offer high-quality products containing minerals collected from Dead Sea. The creation of these products is powered by the innovative SeeSea Skincare Energizer (SSE) Complex, a system which helps restore, renew, and rejuvenate skin through combination of health-inducing Dead Sea minerals and powerful plants extracts. The products are made in Israel, and are imported to the Philippines by TE Chic Company Corp.

THE PRODUCTS

I received their complete skincare line for free, which includes the following: Whitening Body Lotion, Whitening Hand Cream, Whitening Foot Cream, Whitening Facial Moisturizing Cream and Whitening Facial Nourishing Cream.

The main ingredient of the products is Maris Sal. It is the salt derived from the Dead Sea, that contains essential minerals for the skin. Published journals have shown that this salt reduces inflammation, wrinkles and improves skin's barrier function and hydration.

The container of the lotion, hand cream and foot cream is a 120 ml squeeze tube, with a smooth matte finish. All are Paraben-free, and with a 4-year shelf-life (mine will expire on November 2019).

The Whitening Body Lotion is lightly perfumed, white in color, and has a thick consistency. It is absorbed on the skin pretty well, leaving a damp, velvety smooth feel on the skin.

The Whitening Hand and Foot Cream quite indistinguishable, since both has the same light, creamy consistency, same 'mineral' scent (almost odorless), and same ingredients. After application, both creams leave a moist and silky feeling.

Moving to the facial creams, both comes in a 50ml glass-like jar (high-quality plastic); pure white in color and  textured consistency. Also, there is a slight difference with their scents, but I think the moisturizing cream smells better.

The Whitening Facial Moisturizing Cream has Vitamins A & E and UV filters. The cream is easily absorbed by the skin, leaving a smooth and semi-matte finish.

The Whitening Facial Nourishing Cream has higher concentration of moisturizers and anti-ageing agents. The cream takes a while to be absorbed fully, and makes the skin look so hydrated and supple.

THE VERDICT

I am absolutely overwhelmed by these products (for real). Looking at the packaging and ingredients, I must say that I did set a high expectation for SeeSea. There was no second thoughts in trying them out, but it really took a while before I finally drafted a review (since I am also testing other skincare products). Now here are my brutally honest thoughts:

  • These products go beyond the usual "skincare", because they don't just simply moisturize or improve the skin's condition, but repair or overhaul the skin. They are like medicine for the skin.
  • However, I would appreciate if the products don't bear the redundant "whitening" claims. I don't know, I guess the products are simply too good to still anchor itself on this overrated standard of beauty.
  • And oh my G...I am not aware that these products cost quite a fortune! Had no idea with the prices, until I searched them on BeautyMNL. The lotion and hand/foot creams are sold at PHP 1660 individually, while the facial creams are at PHP 3600 per jar. Pricey? Oh yes! But with the goodness of these products, I will not really care if I do have the money (though I hope they'll manage to bring down the prices---if that's possible).
  • In the end, the products actually worked for me, so there's no reason not to recommend all of them. But, if you have to try only a few items from this skincare line, I would suggest that you go for the Body Lotion and Facial Moisturizing Cream. I will not suggest the hand and foot cream, because the ingredients are just the same, plus they are expensive.

That's it! Thank you for reading the entire post (which is quite long). Took me a couple of hours to finish this one, since I also did some research in between. If you have questions or comments, please do leave them below :)

I would like to thank the generous people behind TE Chic Cosmetics. You may visit their website at www.techiccosmetics.com. SeeSea products can be purchased at BeautyMNL and Giltbox Store (UP Town Center and Eastwood Mall).

The best makeup you can wear is a healthy skin.
