Dinner at Cafe Moraco

A STEADY STREAM OF CHATTERS welcomed us as we, together with my food buddies, visited this new cafe along Centennial road, Kawit, Cavite. Earlier last week, I've seen several posts on Facebook about Cafe Moraco---and since I'm always up for cozy places, delicious drinks and gastronomic meals, I fetched my partners in crime and raided this latest food hub.

If you're interested in visiting their place or curious about the stuff they are offering here, just keep on reading :)

*******************************

Cafe Moraco is situated along Centennial road, Kawit Cavite. To get there, just ride a baby bus at the left side of SM City Bacoor. The fare ranges from P 10.00 to P 13.00; you'll arrive at your destination in less than 20 minutes (no traffic).

It's quite late when we got there tho.

Just be careful in crossing the street!

Outside, the cafe is adorned by twinkling colored lights...

I think the Christmas lights are not that appropriate, what do you think?

..and looks spacious even from the outside

CAFE MORACO. This is how it looks from outside :)

The things that can be found inside are quite typical.

They have a bar counter, couches, wooden tables and chairs, game area and a gallery (where photos of their customers are posted)

I just hope that the those tables were placed a little bit distanced from the bar.

The photo gallery on the left side and a comfy couch at the right :)

GAME AREA :)

These shelves houses different board games and play cards

But aside from the typical chairs, they also have a fluffy gray carpet, where you can seat comfortably with your friends and enjoy your stay, as if you're at home. :)

The fluffy gray carpet is, sadly, occupied by this group of gals -__-

The unfinished artwork looks nice :)

Now let's have the MENU!

For the beverages: they are offering iced drinks, ice-blended drinks (coffee- or cream-based), hot drinks, smoothies and others (juices and sodas). The price ranges from P 45.00 (soda) to P 140.00 frappe).

BEVERAGES :)

For the foods: they have rice meals, sandwiches & bread, pastas and pica-pica (fries, chips, etc.)

FOODS :)

What I like about their menu is that it provides a description under each meal :) So you know what to expect!  But when it comes to drinks, you just got to know the difference between a frappe and a smoothie:)

We ordered frappucinos and rice meals because we're hell hungry :O

While waiting for our orders :)

AFTER 10 minutes, we are still waiting -___-

FINALLY! Our drinks were served after 10 minutes :)

They serve the drinks in mason jars which complements the ambiance of the store---very classic.

Mocha frappe + Snickers frappe = LOVE

IF YOU'RE not a coffee-lover, this cream-based vanilla frappe is perfect for you!

The drinks were heaven! Starbucks-like :)

And we waited for the meals to arrive, another 5-10 minutes of waiting...

Here our some of the rice meals that we ordered:

EGG & HUNGARIAN SAUSAGE with garlic rice meal :)

TLC SANDWICH with chips :)

TAPSILOG with garlic rice and atsara :) (photo credit: GAPadios)

They really put some effort in plating the dishes to make them appetizing :)

After our meals, we moved to a couch and ordered a platter of nachos, yay!

NACHOS. Loaded with cheese and yummy salsa..burp! :)

I THINK they were satisfied... :)

You can also enjoy free Wifi inside their store---password can be found on these cute plant pots.

FREE WIFI here :)

Aside from the good food, you can also exercise your singing prowess inside their KTV room for only P 250.00 per hour. They are also offering delectable cheesecakes, which are perfect for 'pasalubong' :)

Since the cafe just opened last November, I really expected the facilities to be in good condition---especially their comfort room.

And it kinda meet my expectations :)

MIRROR SELFIE :)

THE VERDICT

GOOD points:
  • Serve delicious drinks and foods
  • Very detailed menu
  • Accessible location
  • Good-looking baristas and server *wink*
  • Eco-friendly (use of mason jars instead of plastic cups)
  • Offers activities that can be enjoyed by all ages (board games and KTV)
  • Facilities are in good condition

NOT-SO-GOOD points
  • Problem with the arrangement of tables and chairs, couches and carpet (a bit crowded)
  • Ambiance is not cozy or relaxing (I don't know if it's because of the noisy kids sitting near our table)
  • Quantity and Quality of drinks & meals doesn't justify the price

In general, I enjoyed my stay at Cafe Moraco :) I hope that you'll give it a try as well.

Always enjoy good food!

Much love,

---Miss G.
